goleudy have the same meaning in breton,
gouloù = light
ty = house.
so a construction with those two words would have made goloùdy, or goleudy.
it's cool to see same meaning here :)
and i like goleudy very much !
i have known a old breton woman who managed to talk easily with welsh (in Wales) in breton or kelteg ;) some years ago.
that's not so different & we still have links !

This is amazing -the way these languages are linked, I am Scottish and I see similarities with the old language there too (Gallic).

Absolutely fascinating! The other evening I was running next to a sea-defence barrier. As the waves lipped over the barrier the must have been 8-9 meters high. Even that was enough to terrify me; I cant even imagine what it must have been like for those Lighthouse Keepers. Just shows what a powerful beast the sea really is.

There is absolutely no doubt about who is in command here. Just look at it. A tower in the midle of a rageing sea just asking for more taps in the back. We must admit that this sea was no match for this tower.

For those who do not know, this is the "Raz de Sein" at the western tip of France, in Brittany. Nasty storms from the atlantic combined with very strong tidal currents.
