This song reminds me of my auntie Donna who would often play it on the long play. To this day when I smell a thoroughly cleaned house with Mr. Clean and bleach in the air it would trigger a happy childhood memory and it always reminds me of this particular song as well. Great hit song by a great singer.

It's really something how divorced the visual is from the audio. We hear heartbreak both in words and music, but only see smiling somewhat stiff performers. I wonder why the visual was not sync'd up with the audio. Would an emotional visual have been considered too undignified or did it just not occur to anyone do it any differently. I guess you can't understand the explosiveness of an Elvis performance without knowing this kind of performance was what the audience was used to.

As a kid my friends & I would play Grand Ole Opry, I always had to be Connie Smith or Jeanne Pruett. I could never be Loretta or Tammy. I got pretty good at singing Connie & Jeanne. Now I sing them all the time and have gotten rave reviews,,, I love their vocal sounds,, sooo different.
